BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY
By booking with us, you acknowledge that you fully understand and accept the terms of this policy.
Booking Policy
Please note that making a booking, either verbally, by email or in writing is a legal contract, which both parties must honour.
Furthermore, when we make the offer of a room(s) to you and you accept and confirm your booking, we always ask for your credit card details, full postal address and contact number to secure the booking. Upon receipt of these details your booking will be confirmed by email (with delivery/read receipt) or in writing.
As we operate on the basis of trust, we do not debit your card in anyway at the time of booking, but in passing over your card details you are making a legally binding contract with us. (Please read our cancellation policy below, thank you).
Where companies require an invoice to be sent, we ask for the name of the person making the booking and a purchase order/reference number.
We accept verbal bookings but ask that you also confirm your request in writing by email (with delivery/read receipt) or by post. (International guests please allow 14 days for delivery if using a postal service).
Cancellation Policy
Please note we are a small establishment therefore cancellations affect us greatly. As we often receive bookings six weeks in advance of the date guests are staying, it is most likely we will have turned away several potential bookings for the dates you have requested, thus through cancellation our revenue can drop by 50%. Please read the following carefully, thank you.
We operate a fourteen day cancellation policy, which means that if you cancel your booking within this time for whatever reason, including family illness, bad weather, petrol strikes, breakdown of your car, change of contract, work commitments, etc we have the right to make a full charge for all our loses in your absence to your card.
We will however make every effort to re-let the room and actively do so by calling prior enquirers to advise we have had a cancellation. However in the event that we are not successful in re-letting the room(s), then your card will be debited in your absence for the full amount due for the accommodation booked.
The above also applies to Companies who require to be invoiced for personnel staying with us. Again in the event of late cancellation, we will make every effort to re-let the room(s) and where successful no charge will be made. However, where we are unsuccessful in doing so, an invoice will be sent requesting the full amount for the accommodation booked.
Cancellations will be accepted by telephone however written confirmation is also required by email (with delivery/read request) or post. We ask that international guests please allow two weeks for postal delivery.
Missed nights as a result of No Show/Delayed Arrival/Checking out Early/Change of venue will be charged at the price of the room for each of the unused nights originally booked if we are unable to re-let the room(s).
Any postponement of confirmed bookings will be treated as cancellation.
We highly recommend that you take out travel insurance/cancellation cover so that you are covered for any charges due on cancellation.
